As the new year come, all of us have been thinking since last year about our New Year's Resolutions. For me, New Year's Resolutions are really helpful for self-improvement and a motivation for success. That's why I always have these resolutions everywhere and somehow, I was able to do all of it. I want to share to you if what are the things I consider in making my New Year's Resolution.
1. "New Year, New Me"
I know this phrase is so cliche but to me it's good to consider it as one of your NYR since you really have to "change for the better". There a big room for changes and it's really good to improve yourself to a better one since we're all growing old and as time goes by, our surroundings also change and we need to adapt with those changes. As part of growing old (I know it sounds bad but we need to accept it) is too change your bad habits or attitude that might interfere on your journey to be a better one or to your journey to success.
2. "Let go, Move on"
What I mean with this is to let go of the negativity that you had from the past year. Let go of the heartaches and pains that you felt last year. Let go of those things that hold you back in taking a new chapter of your life. We need to accept the fact that we need to let go to open our hands freely to new things, opportunities and new beginnings that we will have in the future. And I bet, it's better than those from the past years.
3. "I will....... & I will not......"
As you grow older, you have more freedom in doing things but somehow we also put some limits to prevent bad things that might happen in our lives. The good thing about "I will....." is that you are exploring new or old things in your life by letting yourself do something that you never done before or you missed doing. It's like widening your capabilities and developing yourself into a flexible one. Like trying new things. (sports, buying new things, etc.) On the other hand, the good thing about "I will not...." is not just about limiting yourself but also protecting yourself as you're on the process of developing or improving your life. For example, "I will not settle for less". It's better to make a combination of the two like "I will not eat fatty foods because I will live my life by eating healthy foods starting this year".
Well, these three are the things I usually use in my NYR since they all have lots of underlying meanings. They're not as simple as those description, but I know all of you can think a lot of meaning behind those phrases and it will surely help you in making your New Year's Resolutions. It's not too late to make those resolutions, so start making your New Years Resolution now. :)
