I really love music guys, that's why maybe most of my post will be my Do-Re-Mis on Music. Now, I would like to make a review on one of my favorite OPM band, Hale. Hale is an alternative rock band here in the Philippines with Champ Lui Pio as it's frontman.
I've been their fan since they released the song "Kung Wala Ka" because it is a very hugot song for me. My Brother kept on playing it on my guitar and I was the one singing it. For me, this song never gets old, that's why I keep on listening to it until now. They were gone for a few years and came back recently with new great songs.

Kung Wala Ka by Hale
Natapos na ang lahat
Nandito parin ako
Hetong nakatulala
Sa mundo, Sa mundo
Hindi mo maiisip
Hindi mo makikita
Mga pangarap ko
Para sa'yo, para sa'yo
Ohh, Hindi ko maisip
Kung wala ka
Ohh, Sa buhay ko
Nariyan ka pa ba?
Hindi ka na matanaw
Kung mayro'n bang daraanang
Pasulong, pasulong
Ohh, Hindi ko maisip
Kung wala ka
Ohh, sa buhay ko
Sundan mo
Ang paghimig na lulan na aking pinagtatanto
Sundan mo
Ang paghimig ko
Ohh, hindi ko maisip
Kung wala ka
Ohh, sa buhay ko
For me, I interpreted this song as a story of a guy who is secretly in love with a girl. Well, we know this type of situation is not unusual since many people not only guys but also girls who experience this kind of situation. That's why many people can relate to this music. If we put it in a perspective of a guy, It is all about a him, who's secretly in love with a girl but can't confess it. As you can see, from the second part of the first verse, it's like the girl is not aware of the things that the guy wishes for the girl. But even though he can't confess his real feelings, as what was said in the chorus part, he can't live without her, and that's how he loves her.
I really love this song especially the chorus part. Even though I'm not in love, I still love to sing it. It's because of its romantic rhythm or tune and Champ's sweet and cool voice that makes the song really great. You can actually feel the emotion of the song from how he sang it. I really love Champ's voice in all of their songs. Forever Hale Fan here. That's why i never get tired of listening to their songs even The Day You Said Goodnight. Those songs really brings me back to my high school days. Hahaha :) Those were my jam. Well, for now. Let's bring back those memories and listen to Kung Wala Ka, by watching it's music video by PolyEast Records. (Click the title of the song below)
