Fat? Or you mean to say Fab! 

Ugly? or you mean say Pretty!

While I was thinking about a concept for our entry in a competition. I thought of this phrase, imagining that I’m hearing a voice from an obese/anorexic woman saying “Fat? Maybe Fab!” suddenly, I smiled when I’m thinking about it. I know a lot of people who are body conscious (just like me). I also hate the fact that most people when they saw you, instead of complimenting you, they will usually say “tumaba ka!” or “You’re eating too much siguro lately ah?”. Some people will also laugh at you whenever they see you have a big belly. These phrases and reactions will really make you feel more conscious about yourself right? and somehow it will low your self-esteem. I really hate to see how people judge others because of their weight, size or anything about their physical appearance. To be honest, yes, sometimes I judge other people but at the end of the day, I also thought of how good they are in spite of their not-so-good appearances. I also experienced being judged by other people and bullied because I have too many pimples and because of my dark skin and sometimes they tell me that I gained weight. I also heard this unpleasant comment “maganda ka sana kaso…..” These things lessen my self-confidence to stand in front of the people and sometimes cry alone in my room. But later, I realized I should not listen to them, instead, I should continue to do good things in spite of my not-so-good physical appearance. It’s a matter of looking and developing the inside into a good one and then develop the outside. Well yeah, let’s accept the fact that people won’t stop judging you or laugh at you. But don’t look down on yourself. You must look on the brighter side. It’s about loving yourself in spite of your flaws and what others think about you. There are a lot of people around you who thinks you're beautiful and love you in every way. And they’re the ones you must think about rather than the people who judged you. So right now, my advice for everyone who feels like they’re not pretty because they have many acnes, they have dark skin, they’re fat or anything that make them feel ugly. When you hear someone judged you, just think “Fat? or you mean to say FAB!” or “UGLY? or you mean to say PRETTY!”
